Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 20-25 small crostini or crackers

  • ½ cup sour cream or crème fraîche
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp pickled red onions, finely sliced
  • Microgreens (optional)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Pork:
    • In a bowl, mix the shredded pork with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned pork and cook until crispy and golden brown, stirring occasionally (about 8–10 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Assemble the Canapés:
    • Lay the crostini or crackers on a serving platter.
    • Place a small spoonful of crispy pork on each base.
  3. Add Garnish:
    • Top each canapé with a dollop of sour cream or crème fraîche.
    • Garnish with a sprinkle of chopped chives, a sliver of pickled red onion, and microgreens if using.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve immediately to enjoy the fresh, crispy textures and vibrant flavors.
